Introduction

It is our great pleasure to introduce Astron Informatics Ltd.

Our company was founded in December, 1999; our main activities are custom-tailored software development and related professional consultancy. We employ nearly 100 highly qualified colleagues. Our annual turnover is over 2.5 billion HUF and a meaningful part of this income come from export. Building upon on our experience in international team-work, we undertake complex software development projects on various computing platforms, based on traditional or agile development methodology. Besides our skilled software development resources we have recognized technological experts as well. Our consultants, having several years of experience in electric power and gas industry and telecommunication, help our Customers in business analysis and system specification. The company objective of Astron Informatics Ltd. is that due to its consistent attitude and high professional level, it remains the respected participant of the information technology market.

We have an ISO 9001 quality management system certification, completed with an information security system audited according to the standard of ISO 27001 – to guarantee integrity, availability and secure handling of customer data. In 2015, we received the ISO 20000 certificate for the operation and local and remote support of gas and electric power systems.

According to the developments in the area of train control and supervision, we follow the provisions of CENELEC EN50128 standard, paying special attention to safety rules of mass transit software applications.

The possibility of external audit of our systems is also open for our customers. We are proud to possess a ‘Level 1’ qualification of the strict supplier evaluation system of Siemens AG for several years.

Fraud reporting system

In line with European Union standards, Act XXV of 2023 on the rules for reporting fraud – the so-called Complaints Act – was also adopted in Hungary. This law also requires Astron to operate a Fraud Reporting System.

In December this year, in compliance with our legal obligation, we introduced this system, which aims to identify and take the necessary measures to prevent and minimise the occurrence of similar violations of interests and rights in our company, primarily affecting employees, staff and business partners.
