TraINspector is an advanced simulation platform developed by Astron for metro and railway systems. It provides realistic training for network operators by simulating complex, real-world scenarios. It can also collaborate with other simulators for cooperative training—for example, when connected to a cab simulator, both the train driver and control center operator can train on the same scenario.

As a simulation framework, TraINspector can simulate rule-based devices and integrate real devices or their emulations. It replicates the technology behind the control center and requires a control center application as a trainee workstation. This allows operators to practice responding to various situations in a safe, controlled environment.

Beyond training, TraINspector is also a powerful tool for testing Automatic Train Supervision (ATS) systems during development. The platform simulates interactions between the ATS and network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety requirements before commissioning.
