Újpest FC, one of Hungary’s most successful football clubs, set out to create a modern digital platform to strengthen the bond with its fans and bring matchday excitement into everyday life. The initiative was supported and led by MOL Group’s Digital Factory, with MOL Group — the club’s owner and our long-time strategic partner — playing a key role in bringing the vision to life.
The goal was to go beyond traditional loyalty programs and deliver a next-generation fan experience through a smart, mobile-first solution tailored to football culture.
Together with Újpest FC and MOL Group’s Digital Factory, we developed the Club 1885 mobile application — a sports-specific adaptation of the award-winning MOL MOVE loyalty platform, which we also built as MOL Group’s trusted technology partner.
Named after Újpest FC’s founding year, 1885, the app connects the club’s heritage with a modern fan experience.
Browse past and upcoming matches, with detailed information for ticket holders.
Secure integration with PSP (Payment Service Provider) for purchasing and validating tickets.
QR codes generated in-app, connected to Újpest FC’s own access control system.
