DMEX is an extension of MAVIR WebUI system. It supports the operator’s daily work as it gives an overview of the Hungarian grid based on a true-to-scale map of Hungary. Essential information of the transmission network is displayed on the map e.g.:
Due to the applied data acquisition strategy DMEX supplies on-line information from Spectrum SCADA system and from the state estimators.
The
graphical representation of a cross border or transmission line
reflects the overload percentage of the item using coloring and size
encodings. Hence the color and the size of e.g. transmission line are
dynamically changed in accordance with its overload.
Astron Message Broker (AMBer) System is an Oracle based inter-application communication and archiving system. Designed for high-availability, mission critical operation. AMBer applies data warehousing technology to integrate, interface, publish and archive data coming from different IT systems. Located in the
middle of a star schema, AMBer provides asynchronous or synchronous
information exchange between heterogeneous systems. What makes AMBer
different from common message-queueing systems is its ability to
syntactically and semantically analyse the incoming data and store it
in its own database. The data are converted and stored in a common,
integrated form as well. AMBer's unique internal database structure
enables a simple and fast data conversion to any communication
protocol format the client systems may need. AMBer offers the full
ODS (Operational Data Store) functionality of a data warehouse system
to enable easy data transfer to the denormalized data warehouse
database.
Recently the IT sector of a company puts a great emphasize to support the management in their decisions by supporting them company wide data acquisitions. Decision support based on the extraction of relevant data from different systems may be a problem because of the various data formats (including identification, structures and storage) of the different source systems. In many cases data from the source system are not in the expected resolution, aggregation level etc. from the point of view of the decision maker. The person who is responsible to prepare company data must have special knowledge about the interpretation and consolidation of data from different sources.
The answer for these problems is a company comprehensive integrated data warehouse.
The analytical tool of data warehouse provides appropriate data and reports to each leader depending on his/her business area. Information after filtering, analyzing and clarification process becomes an essential part of the property of the company and represents financial and economic value.
The Astron Informatics Ltd. successfully gained the realization including the complete design, development and implementation of MAVIR (Hungarian Transmission Operator Company Ltd.) Data Warehouse project. We are very proud of it because this is a clear recognition of the fact that Astron owns high professional skill and competency in executing robust and trustworthy IT solutions.
Most of the companies have to share their business data on the internet or other information environment due to the regulation of law or customer’s request for example. We call this type of data supply, data publication process. Companies have to meet several requirements when sharing their data to the publicity: - data publication process means data manipulation in order to fulfill the regulations of the law or some customer. Changing data in this way doesn’t come from an adequate technological or business process but some outsider requirement. Hence manipulated data has to be handled and stored independently from the original data. - in most cases publication data derives from the different part of the technology or business process. That’s why each person who is in charge of data publication has to easily locate his data among the millions of records. He has to be authorized to delegate only those data to be publicated which belongs to his competence. - due to the variety of publication data persons of different skills have to deal with data publication. PSDP has to support the easy and safety to use accomplishment of data publication for the users with different technological background.
Last year Astron
Informatikai Kft. gained the implementation of a PSDP from MAVIR
(Hungarian Power System Operator Company). Since this summer Astron
PSDP operates as a brand new information system and they use it from
day to day.
