On 6th of February 2021, new metro trains and a renewed control system were put into operation on Hong Kong’s Shatin-Central Link. On the Facebook page of the operator (MTR) a short video was presented: MTR video
While the new trains are the most attractive to the passengers, the control system appearing in the 24th second of the video is what we’re proud of. The changeover was not smooth, but it was successful, as the line has been continuously operating with passengers, with the new system ever since.
It’s one of the oldest projects Astron has ever run, so a lot of people have worked on it. They’re all rightly proud of the system, and we’re proud of them.
